Perfect French Fries Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Willy Nilly French Fries seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Peel the potatoes (optional) and cut them into even sticks about 1/4 inch thick.
    • Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes (this helps remove excess starch and makes them crispier).
  2. Parboil the Potatoes:
    • Drain the potatoes and place them in a pot of boiling water.
    • Boil for about 3-4 minutes, until they are just starting to soften.
    • Drain the potatoes and let them cool on a paper towel-lined baking sheet.
  3. Fry the Potatoes:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
    • Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are light golden but not fully crisp.
    • Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined baking sheet.
  4. Second Fry:
    • Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C).
    • Fry the potatoes again in batches for another 2-3 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined baking sheet.
  5. Season and Serve:
    • Immediately sprinkle the hot fries with the prepared French fries seasoning.
    • Toss the fries gently to coat them evenly with the seasoning.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
