Greek Chicken Souvlaki Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons Willy Nilly Greek Spice Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a large bowl, combine the Willy Nilly Greek Spice Seasonin, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, and plain Greek yogurt. Mix well.
    • Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly in the marinade.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  2. Prepare the Skewers:
    • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
    • Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  3. Cook the Souvlaki:
    • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
    • Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the chicken souvlaki with pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and a fresh Greek salad.
